Finally got my JD4300 HST with 513 rotary cutter -- but still no delivery of the 420 loader I ordered with it. I asked the dealer about bumping-up to the 430 loader but he said they are just as hard to come by as the 420. He claims to have a customer who just got his 4400 and is waiting for the 430 loader. Anyone else in this boat or heard about the loader shortage?This is very frustrating for me -- I bought the tractor to landscape my new home and then maintain it. Well -- I've been in the house for 2 weeks now and all I can do is cut the pasture brush.

1) Does the dealer have any used tractor/loaders sitting on the lot that you could use? Before I chose the 4300/430 the dealer had in stock I was looking at a 4200/420 and was going to have to wait for a while. The dealer offered me the use of a used rig he had in stock until the other one came in. They were going to deliver the used one and then deliver the new one and exchange it for the used one. Pretty good service. I ended up deciding to go with the 4300/430 he had in stock when I started hearing about the shortages and ended up not taking him up on the offer on the temporary use of the used one.2) There is a third party that makes a loader for the 4x00 series tractors. Their name escapes me at the moment. They look pretty well built. If you want to pursue it let me know and I'll call my dealer to get the company info.Charlie ....

My dealer said that he has 10-15 420 loaders in stock, one is mine. I'm just waiting on my 4200 hyd. to come in. ....

Chas and Scott, I'd be real curious to know what the damages were/are for your tractors as I just bought a 4300 w/ 430 and sync shuttle for $17,500. I to had heard about shortages, but my dealer put the package together in less than a week. ....

I bought my setup yesterday, the dealer had about 10 420 loaders in stock just sitting on the ground waiting to be put together. It's hard to believe there is a shortage. ....

Derek:I bought:1. 4300/4WD/syncReverser/midPTO/turf tires/folding ROPS/Dual SCV2. 430 Loader w/61" bucket3. #45 rear blade - 6'4. #513 rotary cutter - 6'All in stock. Total was $19,129Not the best price I've seen but a fair price, I believe - especially with thesupply/demand situation. I was going to hold out for a Hydro model but decided to go ahead with the SyncReverser since it was in stock.There are 4400 + 4500 models in stock around here (Eastern Nebraska).Regards,Charlie ....

I bought JD4300 w/ HST, 4WD, DSCV, 420 loader, folding ROPS, R4 (IND) tires.Added a 513 rotary cutter, LandsPride box scraper, and separate 5hp chipper/shredder.All that for $20,250 including 5% IN sales tax. (Haven't received the 420 yet) ....
